Zach Swartz

Creative Director  |  Content Strategist

I bring a versatile skill set shaped by leadership, hands-on production, and cross-industry collaboration. I understand both strategic purpose and the practical execution required to deliver it. I value collaboration over ego and am always ready to step into whatever role best serves the project, team, and budget.

Creatively, I have led teams and managed major projects, while also working independently through every stage of production.

 

In the sports industry, I have partnered with elite professional and collegiate athletes. I’ve worked directly alongside general managers, head coaches, and agents.

 

In the business world, I work closely with executives and creative teams to balance creative vision with strategic marketing and revenue objectives.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

WME Sports.png

Senior Producer, WME Sports  |  May 2021 - April 2025

Led video production arm of WME Sports Studio, the in-house content engine within WME Sports. My team, made up of four full-time video producers located throughout the U.S., provided a full suite of video production services to WME Sports athletes and properties clients, including ideation, script-writing, storyboarding, creative concepting, producing, directing, shooting, editing, post-production work, and 2D animation.

My team produced content within multiple buckets across both organic and revenue generation:

1. Organic content production to service athlete clients across all WME Sports divisions
2. Establishing brand partnerships to produce branded content for activations with athlete clients
3. Full suite of production services offered to external/retainer-based properties clients (teams, leagues, organizations, businesses, etc.)
4. Collaboration with agents to produce high-quality recruiting content
5. Internal video production needs

Director of Creative Media, Ohio State Football  |  April 2016 - May 2021

  • Managed all creative initiatives for Ohio State Football, including social media, recruiting projects, and internal video content

  • Co-directed “Platforms" program, which provides student-athletes with tools to leverage their personal platform and grow their individual brand equity

  • Produced engaging short-form video content for recruiting, marketing, and internal purposes

  • Oversaw creative team of four full-time staff members and multiple student interns

  • Managed all Ohio State Football social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook

Senior Production Manager, Arkansas Athletics  |  June 2012 - April 2016

In multiple roles, I:

  • Oversaw all live production & pre-produced content for videoboards at football, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, softball, soccer & track & field venues

  • Designed layout for installation of new Daktronics videoboards at basketball and baseball venues, including integration with Click Effects software

  • Oversaw planning and production for all online video content for ArkansasRazorbacks.com & social channels

  • Produced full ESPNU, SEC Network & SEC Network+ broadcasts in state-of-the art control room in a variety of roles, including producer, technical director

  • Produced live videoboard shows for football, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, soccer & track & field events

  • Served as primary liaison to marketing department to design & implement multimedia marketing strategy for all major communications campaigns & special events

  • Designed animations & still graphics for use in live videoboard productions

  • Produced weekly football & men's basketball coaches' television shows

  • Supervised 2 full-time producer/editors & 30+ student assistants
